Terms of use
Fair, straightforward conditions for using PaperDesk information and products.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to this website and PaperDesk products provided by Aptusly. By using them, you agree to these terms and any product-specific store terms.
2. Permitted use
You may use the products for lawful personal or business document work. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for files you open, annotate, convert or share.
3. Prohibited use
Do not use PaperDesk products to violate law or third-party rights, distribute malware, bypass digital-rights controls, interfere with services, create invalid advertising activity, or reverse engineer components except where applicable law expressly permits it.
4. Documents and local data
You retain responsibility for your documents and backups. Offline-first does not mean indestructible: files or app data may be lost through device failure, deletion, operating-system action or unsupported formats. Keep independent backups of important work.
5. Availability and changes
Features, formats and monetisation may change. Roadmap descriptions are not guarantees. We may suspend features to protect users, comply with law or address technical risks.
6. Third-party services
Products may use platform file pickers, sharing services, advertising providers, app stores and hosting providers. Their terms and policies apply to their services.
7. Intellectual property
PaperDesk names, product branding, website content and software are owned by Aptusly or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership. Third-party libraries remain subject to their respective licences.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent permitted by law, products are provided “as is” without warranties that every document will render identically or remain recoverable. Aptusly is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss. Nothing here excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts with appropriate jurisdiction in India will handle disputes, subject to mandatory consumer protections.
