Privacy policy

Plain-language summary: Lipik Reader is designed to read documents locally without an account. Your books, notes and reading history are not uploaded to us. Advertising services may connect to the internet when available.

1. Who we are

PaperDesk is a product family operated by Aptusly, India. Privacy questions can be sent to support@aptusly.com.

2. Information handled by Lipik Reader

Lipik Reader may store imported-file references, reading positions, bookmarks, highlights, notes, appearance preferences and app-created PDF overlays on your device. PDF passwords are used transiently to open a document and are not stored by default.

Core reading is offline-first. We do not require an account, and the app is not designed to upload document contents, highlights or notes to Aptusly.

3. Advertising and connectivity

Free modes may use Google Mobile Ads when an internet connection is available. Google and its partners may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, ad interactions and diagnostic information to provide, secure and measure ads, subject to applicable consent choices and Google's policies. When offline, ad requests are skipped and document access continues.

Development builds use Google test advertisements. Production advertising and consent behaviour will be reflected in the published app and Play Store Data safety disclosure.

4. Website information

This informational website does not provide user accounts or document uploads. Our hosting provider may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, timestamps and security logs to deliver and protect the site. We do not currently use marketing forms or sell personal information through this website.

5. Support communications

If you email support, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond, diagnose problems, protect our products and meet legal obligations. Do not send confidential documents or passwords unless specifically requested through an approved secure method.

6. Permissions and sharing

Lipik Reader uses the system file picker and sharing interface. Selecting or sharing a file is initiated by you. Destination apps and storage providers have their own privacy practices.

7. Retention and deletion

Local app data remains until you delete it, remove the book and associated data, clear application storage or uninstall the app. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed for support, security and legal purposes. Because no PaperDesk account is required, there is no online account to delete.

8. Children

Lipik Reader is an adult-targeted productivity tool for users aged 18 and over. It is not designed for or directed to children. Advertising and store settings will follow this declared audience.

9. Security and international processing

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information handled. Internet services such as hosting and advertising may process information outside India under their own safeguards and applicable law. No system is completely secure.

10. Your choices and rights

You can use core reading offline, decline optional consent where offered, remove local data through the app or device settings, and contact us regarding applicable privacy rights. We may need to verify and scope a request before responding.

11. Changes

We may update this policy when products, providers or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated through the website, app or store listing where appropriate.
